KODAK showcased an OLED panel at the Flat Panel Display (FPD) International 2009 held at the Pacifico Yokohama (Exhibition Hall) in Japan from October 28 to 30. The OLED panel for lighting is 6¡±x6¡± in size and offers 3000K of color temperature, 90 and higher CRI and efficiency of 45lm/W and higher.

KODAK¡¯s OLED panel for lighting used glass substrate and was applied to a glass lighting fixture. KODAK explained that OLED¡¯s advantages of being thin, bright and generating a smaller amount of heat allow OLED panels to be used in a various way, such as for lighting for house or jack-o¡¯-lantern for Halloween day (picture above).

KODAK said that it is devising a next plan on OLED lighting, and increasing attention is paid to whether KODAK will make an aggressive move to advance into the OLED lighting business.
