Chin Byung-Doo, professor at Dankook University and Hwang Chang-Hoon, professor at Dankook University and CEO of OLEDON announced that they have succeeded in developing evaporation pattern deposition technology which can realize 0.38um shadow distance (SD) at SID 2017.
지난 SID 2017에서 OLEDON의 황창훈 대표는 0.38 um의 shadow distance 구현이 가능한 면증발 패터닝 증착 기술 개발에 성공했다고 발표해 학계의 관심이 집중됐다. 황창훈 대표는 과거 2016 IMID Business forum에서 plane source evaporation과 100 um두께의 shadow mask로 1.1 um의 shadow distance 구현에 성공했다고 발표한 바 있다. 당시 황창훈 대표는 ‘Step height를 3 um까지 줄인다면 이론상 shadow distance를 0.38 um까지 구현할 수 있어 OLED panel의 해상도는 최대 2250ppi(11K)까지 가능해질 것이다’고 설명했다.
